BRICS Trade Unions Confront a Dynamic, Dangerous World

COSATU, FEDUSA and NACTU represents South African workers on the BRICS Trade Union Forum (BTUF) with our labour colleagues from Brazil, Russia, India and China. FEDUSA is responsible for the co-ordination of the administrative functions and the next BRICS Summit will be held in China during September 2017.

On 14 and 15 November 2016,  COSATU, FEDUSA and NACTU hosted about 90 African trade union leaders at a international workshop under the theme  “African Agenda which places people at the Centre of Industrialisation, Investment and Development “.  Professor Patrick Bond of the University of the Witwatersrand School of Governance was commission to assist us with drafting of the attached report.
