EQUITY FORUM

 

The FEDUSA Equity Forum is an active sub-structure of the Federation and is actively engaged in dealing with socio-developmental issues.

The Equity Forum stands for freedom, dignity and equality in the workplace. For the development of men and women in South Africa – for transparency, fair labour practices and upward mobility for all. Briefly speaking, the key objectives of the Equity Forum are to:

Strive to eliminate discriminatory practices and to ensure equality in the workplace;

Empower members by educating and training them concerning their rights;

Recognise the contribution of women in the workplace;

bullet

Educate employees and employers concerning all gender and gender-related issues;

bullet

Raise awareness and eradicate sexual harassment in the workplace;

bullet

Join the fight against child labour; and to

bullet

Raise awareness and educate our members on HIV and AIDS and related issues, as well as its effects in

           the workplace
