OVERVIEW

Since its inception FEDUSA has provided a range of training workshops in each of the nine provinces. These training courses benefited both affiliate members and FEDUSA leadership and developed capacity on a wide range of topics.

The FEDUSA Training and Education Committee (TEC) assesses FEDUSA's training needs on a regular basis and monitors training developments and policy at the NSA (National Skills Authority), and SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority). Training is a standing item on the FEDUSA National Executive Committee Agenda and accordingly reports on FEDUSA training activities are presented on a regular basis.

As a social partner and stakeholder FEDUSA enjoys representation on the National Skills Authority (NSA), The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), various National Standards Bodies (NSB's) and the Ditsela Board. The FEDUSA National Training Officer is also the chairman of the National Board for Further Education and Training (NBFET)
