The Federation of Unions of South Africa (FEDUSA) is saddened by the passing of Tshidi Madia, EWN’s Associate Editor: Politics. Madia passed away in hospital on Wednesday morning, 27 August 2025, after a short illness.
Madia was a respected political journalist who dedicated her life to truth, integrity, and the pursuit of justice through journalism. We will remember Madia as a vocal journalist who actively engaged with the country’s core issues.
FEDUSA extends its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues. We stand in solidarity with the journalism community during this painful time and honour Madia’s contribution to the journalism fraternity and to South Africa.
