Dear FEDUSA Affiliates,
This email serves as a call for applications for a one-day Financial Education Training Programme, which will be hosted in Johannesburg and Durban.

We invite you to apply for the upcoming Financial Empowerment Training Programme, covering key financial topics as per the schedule below.
Financial education is a powerful tool for social and economic empowerment. It can transform lives—not only for individuals, but also for the communities around them. The impact of this programme is evident among past participants of the Financial Empowerment Training Programme, who have acquired critical financial skills that enable them to participate meaningfully in the economy and drive sustainable change within their communities.

APPLICATION PROCESS - FINANCIAL EDUCATION TRAINING PROGRAMME

To register, please complete the online application form using the link provided. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Acceptance is subject to approval by the applicant’s Union GS/CEO/GM/PM. Please note that only members who have not previously attended this training are eligible to apply.

Important Information & Conditions:

  • The training is fully funded; however, attendance will be strictly monitored.
  • Successful applicants will receive written confirmation from FEDUSA.
  • All participants must obtain formal consent/authorisation from their respective unions.
  • Participants must apply to attend training in their province of residence.
    Accommodation and transport will NOT be provided.
  • A transport stipend of R250 per delegate per day will be paid only to attendees.
  • The stipend will be disbursed to affiliate unions within seven (7) days after attendance, for distribution to their respective members .

APPLICATION PROCESS - FEDUSA BASIC SHOP STEWARDS TRAINING

Interested participants must complete the application form using the following link: https://forms.gle/d9HYMKasaGnFeoLo7Course Purpose & Objectives:This training aims to equip shop stewards with the knowledge and skills to effectively apply labour legislation principles in the workplace.Upon completion, participants will be able to:
✔ Understand the trade union movement
✔ Define the role of a shop steward
✔ Navigate the union constitution, structures, and policies
✔ Address Occupational Health and Safety matters
✔ Understand the shop steward’s role in skills development
✔ Handle workplace cases effectively
✔ Identify and address discrimination in the workplace

Important Information & Conditions:

Important Notes: 

  • Participants must be based in and around Polokwane for Limpopo and Nelspruit for Mbombela to commute to the venue daily.

  • FEDUSA will NOT cover transportation costs – unions must arrange travel expenses for their members.

  • Certificates of attendance will only be issued to participants who attend both training days in full. 
  • Your application is subject to approval by your union.
