9 October 2025
The Federation of Unions of South Africa (FEDUSA) congratulates its affiliate, the Public Servants Association (PSA), on the successful hosting of its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM). The gathering reaffirmed the PSA’s commitment to accountability, inclusivity, and principled leadership within the public service.
A key outcome of the AGM was the election and appointment of a new Board of Directors to steer the organisation in the coming term. FEDUSA commends the election of three women to the PSA Board, which reflects the union’s ongoing efforts to advance gender equality and strengthen diversity in governance structures.
The newly elected PSA Board of Directors is as follows:
- Chairperson: Mr R.D. (Refitlhile) Baloyi
- Vice-Chairperson: Adv J. (Jeno) Singh
Board Members:
FEDUSA extends its best wishes to the new Board as it undertakes the crucial responsibility of safeguarding the rights, interests, and welfare of public servants across South Africa. We are confident that the Board will continue to uphold the PSA’s long-standing values of integrity, transparency, and service excellence.
The PSA remains a cornerstone of South Africa’s labour movement. As the largest politically non-affiliated and fully representative union in the public service, the PSA has proudly championed workers’ rights for over a century and today represents more than 245,000 public sector employees nationwide.
Together, FEDUSA and the PSA reaffirm their shared commitment to advancing decent work, social justice, and ethical governance in the public service, ensuring that the voice of every worker remains strong, respected, and heard.
END.
